Sweet Home Alabama
July 16, 2016
Birmingham,It had been a while since I had attended a live boxing event. When I heard Gerald Washington was fighting on the Deontae Wilder vs. Chris Arreola undercard, I found the perfect excuse for a road trip!
During our road trip, we stopped in the middle of the freeway to take a picture with the "Sweet Home Alabama" sign. This was extremely dangerous, so be very careful if you decide to take a picture here. // Side Note: The cars on the freeway were honking at us the whole time because of how unsafe it was. We headed to Birmingham pretty early, so our first stop was breakfast! We had breakfast at Over Easy. They serve very large and delicious plates. If you're in town, you must visit!! I can never visit a new city without going on 'Moni's Adventures', so we headed to Vulcan Park. The view of Downtown, Birmingham's skyline was so beautiful. |
The next morning, we drove around the city and found a farmer's market. We bought oranges, they were delicious! We also drove by the Rainbow Tunnel, but the lights were off, go figure. I'll be back to visit at night. We then, visited the new Magic City sign. Right before heading home, we unexpectedly found wall art, my fav. This trip was short, but sweet. Watched a few boxing fights, toured a new city, and checked another state off my bucket list.
